Across the Scottish Borders, all those involved within Children’s Services aim to ensure that the care and support children and young people receive is planned, tailored and delivered to meet their individual needs.
When staff from different practices are working together to arrange the services required by children and young people they may need to share information. Any information held is kept securely in a file or on electronic information systems. Children and young people have the right to see this information and can ask for it to be corrected if necessary.
Before this information is shared it may be necessary for consent to be obtained. Staff asking permission will explain what this means before asking for consent. The leaflets below aim to assist this process.
