LOST AND FOUND ANIMALS

Animal owners phone us when their beloved pets have gone missing. Dogs, cats and even snakes have been reported to us. We keep a note of all their details at the Centre and check regularly to see if any of the animals coming in to the Centre could be the missing pet.

We know how painful it is to loose your pet and are willing to help in any way that we can. This is one of the ways we can do so. If you have an advert that you would like us to display either at the Centre or in the shop let us know and we will try to help.

We will display the details here plus any photos of missing animals to let the widest possible audience know. If you would like us to display the details of your pet please just give us a ring or email us. You can use the Contact Form if that helps.

We shall keep the details on our website for one month. If you wish us to keep them on please phone us back to confirm.

Cheeky's Story......

We received a phonecall from a member of the pubic asking for advice about a cat who had been hanging around for the past 10 days. The caller had asked around all neighbours as well as local shops and vet surgery but no-one recognised the cat.

We decided it was best for the cat to be brought into the Centre and as soon as he arrived we fed him and scanned for a microchip (he unfortunately didn’t have one). He was an enormous, friendly ginger and white boy and we recognised him immediately. After searching our computer for old photos, we confirmed that he was, as we suspected, Cheeky. Cheeky had come into the Centre earlier in the year for rehoming so we were able to look up our records and contact his new owner, who was desperately worried as Cheeky had been missing for nearly 2 weeks. It turned out that Cheeky had travelled more than 4 miles on his adventure, and obviously just got a bit lost! Happily, we were able to reunite Cheeky with his owners after only spending a further night at the Centre with us.
